Dörr Medical obtains ISO 14001 certification

ISO 14001 certified — because sustainability is both a choice and a responsibility

8 May 2026

In 1926, our founder, H.R. Van Den Brink, developed the Dörr hot-water-bottle warmer at Groningen’s district hospital by using residual heat from the combustion heating system to warm up the bottles. Reliability, efficiency, and responsible energy use have played a key role since our inception and

continue to be the foundation for our work.
In the development of its devices, Dörr Medical prioritizes long-term use, quality construction, and safe application in the health sector. We also make conscious choices when it comes to our production line: our manufacturing location is largely kept warm with heat pumps, and we offset the company’s energy consumption with electricity that we generate entirely on our own. We even went out of our way to select the most sustainable laser cutter.

Obtaining the ISO 14001:2015 certification was simply the next logical step for Dörr.
This certification is further proof of our commitment to an environmental management system which enables us to continuously monitor and improve our environmental performance.
It also shows that workplace safety and corporate social responsibility are key tenets of our organization which yield clearly demonstrable benefits.

That said, we are proud to announce that Dörr Kampen B.V. officially became ISO 14001:2015 certified on 31 October 2025.

This will enable us to better serve our clients in a clear sustainable way.
