Trust, simplicity, and cooperation are key

In 2013, the Meander Medical Center created a central location for its hospitals at a new building on Maatweg in Amersfoort. During this transition, various new and lightly used bedpan washers were installed. About ten years later, the time came for them to be replaced.

In 2024, Meander approached Dörr Medical with questions about what its latest generation of bedpan washers, the Dörr Nova 4000, had to offer.

Meander was already quite familiar with Dörr Medical. We had previously supplied them with different warming cabinets, hot-water-bottle warmers, pre-cleaning equipment for surgical instruments, and scopes. This long-term collaboration and mutual trust served as the basis for a new phase.

Practical testing to ensure the right choice
In order to arrive at a well-informed decision, Meander tested out a variety of models from different suppliers. During the trial runs, criteria such as cleaning results, user friendliness, and technical construction were carefully evaluated.

Phased replacement and long-term maintenance

When Meander selected Dörr Medical, it meant that all the bedpan washers in the hospital would be replaced over the next few years, according to a mutually agreed-upon implementation timeline. Dörr would also handle the accompanying maintenance and validation work.
